I wanna heal, I wanna feel what I thought was never real
I wanna let go of the pain I’ve felt so long
Erase all the pain till it’s gone
I wanna let go of the pain I’ve felt so long
Erase all the pain till it’s gone
The day had just dawned but Hurricane was already on the move. She found it hard to sleep on her own out in the cold without another soul for miles around. She was a social creature and longed to find a herd to call her own. More than that she wanted to find her brother, Orbit, who had left the herd what felt like a lifetime ago. She and her brother were twins although they looked very little alike. The same soulful dark eyes marked them as being related but that was it. Hurricane was a storm of emotion inside with a streak of darkness that she tried her best to keep burried where nobody would ever see it. She recalled the day she had been forced to leave her herd with a heavy heart. That had been a very dark day indeed and had done nothing to help her to overcome the terrible split personality that she possessed. If anything it had only gotten worse.
As she stood alone in the middle of the grassy land she felt a cooling breeze ruffle her mane. The day had not yet reached its potential heat so it had quite a chill to it. Hurricane shivered although she was certain that this was not due to the cold. She was feeling as if she may not be quite as alone as she had imagined. Call it intuition but she was sure that there was something else not so very far away from her. Her dark eyes scanned the land but she saw nothing apart from grass. How odd.. Perhaps in the absence of anyone to talk to her mind had begun playing tricks on her. The thought of actually stepping further into insanity was not one she enjoyed in the slightest. If anything she had been trying to escape from it.
A lone cloud had settled in the sky. As Hurricane looked up and saw it the Nokota horse allowed herself a small smile of amusement. "You and I are not so different." Ok so that was certainly a sign of insanity. Talking to a cloud was never a good way to start the day but then again Hurricane was not exactly a normal horse. She felt that she was different from all those that she had ever met in the sense that she was to horses rolled into one.
Her appearance was very deceiving. Her lithe form was dappled grey and white with black creeping up all four of her legs. The same colouring appeared on her face although it was broken up by a white streak from her nose to her forehead. Despite having these unique markings, Hurricane looked like any other horse. They would never know that she lived up to her name, having a storm raging within her every single day of her life. A soft sigh escaped her unbidden as she went back to surveying the land around her. Oh how bizarre her life was becoming.
I wanna heal, I wanna feel like I’m close to something real
I wanna find something I’ve wanted all along
Somewhere I belong
I wanna find something I’ve wanted all along
Somewhere I belong
