- Respect: use it
- Swearing/Cussing: don't overdo it
- Please wait to be accepted before role playing
ACCOUNTS:
- One account per character
- Names are to be in proper capitalization with no symbols
- The gender of your character needs to be its proper gender
--This means ladies that even though you are female, if your character is a male then you must change the gender in your profile to 'male'.
**IMPORTANT: For future reference, if you are to become a staff member then the username or alias that you will go by MUST be your username and the display name will need to be changed to all caps. Do NOT make a character with a name that you want to go by.
POSTING:
- A minimum of 12 sentences without any choppy sentences mind you is required and that is only about two paragraphs
- Correct capitalization and punctuation is a must
- Proper grammar and spelling is also a must (a type of spell check is highly recommended)
- In speech or direct character thoughts, the use of proper grammar and spelling may be avoided to a certain extent
STALLIONS:
- May claim:
-land
-mares
-orphaned foals - Challenge for:
-land
-mares
-lead position - Can fight or challenge authority of another whenever
- Can take the place of lead stallion of a land with a lead mare without having to challenge her
--That does not mean she will not fight, but if she wins the fight and the stallion fails to kick her out then the stallion must leave defeated, but can challenge at another time. - Can kill, and basically do whatever the other stallions in the wild would do
MARES:
- May claim:
-land
-mares
-orphaned foals - Challenge for:
-land
-mares
-lead position - Can fight or challenge authority of another whenever
- Can take the place of lead mare of a land without a lead stallion
--Should she challenge a stallion who takes the lead position of her herd and wins, she maintains the lead mare position and the stallion must leave, but may return to challenge at another time. - Can NOT interfere in a challenge where another horse wants to take over the land/herd
- Can kill, and basically do whatever the other mares in the wild would do
FOALS:
- Foals are foals and pretty much can’t do anything but play, eat, sleep, and excrete things. They can have an attitude, but please be considerate and play the foals physical attributes as they are and not the strongest out of a stallion and a mare, for they will lose in that fight.
- May be born with a disability or stillborn
BREEDING:
- Takes place anywhere
- The player of the mother must PM a staff member with a link to the breeding thread, the father's bio, and the mother's bio. Make sure to include a name for a girl and a name for a boy, for stats are made up randomly. The results will be posted in the Foal Records.
- Conception is not always guaranteed
FIGHTING:
- Takes place anywhere
- No more than five posts
- No more than 300 words
- Terms made up by members over PM
- A fighting thread will be started somewhere by one player with the links to both of the characters bios and the terms which were agreed upon (this includes the reason or ‘prize’ and does not count as one out of the five posts.
- One introductory thread is allowed once for each character (the first intro thread should be posted by the player who did not post the terms)
- Be reasonable
- When the thread is finished, PM a staff member with the link to the thread
ROGUES:
- Although in normally in the wild wandering horses don't survive long without the protection of the herd, here I am allowing rouges.
- Theses horses travel and will not join a herd, but they may hang around one if they are allowed to for protection. They must move on though and cannot just permanently 'hang' with that herd. They may come back after a time though after 'visiting' another herd.
- If a Rogue mare or stallion is impregnated or impregnates then they must stick around each other. If the mare is impregnated by a lead stallion then she must stick with that herd until the foal is at least two years of age.
- If the mare decides to stay with the herd or join another herd then the player needs to PM an admin and they will change the member group.
- Predation is high without protection of the herd, thus rogues sometimes will not always survive by themselves.
- A random event might happen in a thread somewhere where a ‘predator’ is stalking your character. If nobody replies in the thread soon, then chances are that your characters will die. However, if you role play a fight or flight out well enough, your character could escape completely or with few injuries.
RANDOM EVENTS:
- Random events and happenings can occur on the board and could very well affect your character such as real catastrophic events in the wild could.
- The events like stated, are completely random. Some could be role played out or just happen.
- This random event could mean a predator is stalking your character or the herd to try and pick out weak members to go after. It could also mean an earthquake could occur.
- If major events happen then it will be an announcement and all characters that it applies too will be affected and you will be responsible for posting the effects to your character in the role play at the proper time and place. (Unless you have a good excuse and post it as a reply in the announcement thread and it is accepted by a staff member).
